The three hosts, Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority, FarmHouse Fraternity, and the University of Kentucky Rodeo Team, are dedicated to creating a successful fun-filled rodeo event for the Lexington Kentucky area and the University of Kentucky campus.

Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority is an international women’s organization founded in 1904 that promotes academic excellence, philanthropic giving, ongoing leadership, personal development and above all, a spirit of loving sisterhood.

FarmHouse Fraternity is an internationally recognized organization founded in 1905 that constantly seeks to uphold three main attributes: Leadership, Scholarship and Fellowship.

The University of Kentucky Rodeo Team was founded in 2013 with a mission to promote and develop the sport of rodeo at the University of Kentucky and throughout the Lexington community.

The funds raised during this event will directly benefit Cowboy Up For A CURE, Inc.  Cowboy Up works closely with the University of Kentucky Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Clinic to ensure that programs will be put in place to enrich the lives of children battling cancer from the time of diagnosis, throughout treatment, and beyond.

The Cowboy Up for a Cure Rodeo is presented by Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority, Farmhouse Fraternity and the University of Kentucky’s Rodeo Team.  The proceeds of the event will benefit Cowboy up for a Cure, Inc. (CUFAC), a local non-profit organization that provides funding to benefit children with various forms of pediatric cancer.   Professional rodeo entertainment will be provided by 3-J.

Cowboy Up for a Cure, Inc. (CUFAC/Cowboy Up) was founded by Rebecca Shryock in September 2013, after her son, Drew, was diagnosed with T-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.  Rebecca founded the organization to benefit Central Kentucky children with various forms of pediatric cancer while raising awareness and providing a pathway to progress for families faced with similar adversities

“While the ultimate goal of CUFAC is a cure, we realize that there is so much more to be done.  We’re hoping that by bringing Central Kentuckians together for a night of rodeo fun, we can raise awareness and funding for kids who are facing the fight of their lives.  Let’s ‘Cowboy Up’, Kentucky.  Because kids get cancer, too!”
